Spanish singer and actress Mara de Los Angeles de las Heras Ortiz, better known as Roco Drcal in the entertainment industry, passed away on March 25, 2006. Born on October 4, 1944, Roco Drcal. She gained enormous popularity in Mexico, where she was known as the “Queen of Rancheras.”
The Latin Grammy Award for musical excellence was granted to Roco Drcal in 2005. It is given by the Recording Latin Academy’s Governing Board to performers who have achieved tremendous artistic success throughout their careers.

At her home in Torrelodones, Madrid, Roco Drcal, 61, passed away on March 25, 2006, from uterine cancer.
She was cremated, and some of her ashes were scattered across Spain. The remaining ones, however, were interred in a vault inside the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. Years later, some of her late husband Antonio Morales’ ashes, who passed away in 2014, were also buried there close to her.
