Five years later, on a fatal day, Spector was taken into custody after 40-year-old Clarkson was discovered shot to death in the marble entryway of the home.
In court, Spector’s driver allegedly testified that he muttered, “I think I killed somebody,” when he emerged from the back door of the house shortly after the shooting.
Who owns Phil Spector’s mansion the Pyrenees Castle now?
The most notorious house in Alhambra, a fortress-like residence where the late record producer Phil Spector fatally shot Lana Clarkson in 2003, has recently gone on the market for $3.3 million.
The Pyrenees Castle’s striking design is in keeping with its notorious past. In the interior, hand-painted stencils, crystal chandeliers, and mirror walls create a scene right out of an Agatha Christie mystery. Turrets and spires protrude from the roof.
The home offers expansive views of the San Gabriel Valley below from its perch atop a small knoll. It is 2.66 acres in size, walled and gated, and has a motor court with a fountain surrounded by landscaping.
Both ends of the transaction were handled by Tim Durkovic of Douglas Elliman.
