LaDonna Adrian Gaines, better known as Donna Summer, was an American singer and composer born on December 31, 1948. She rose to fame during the disco period of the 1970s and became known as the “Queen of Disco,” with her music having a global audience.
She grew up in the Mission Hill district of Boston. Her father worked as a butcher and her mother as a teacher. Summer made her performance debut at church when she was 10 years old, filling in for a vocalist who was unable to present.
She attended Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Boston, where she was popular and acted in school plays. Summer moved to New York City in 1967, only weeks before graduating, to join the blues rock band, Crow.
The band chose to break up after a record label rejected to sign them because they were only interested in the lead singer.
Who inherited Donna Summer money and estate?
The specifics of who inherited Donna’s riches are unknown. We learned that her three children argued over who would receive a larger share of their mother’s money and estate.
But we don’t know how it went or how that issue was resolved, even if the money and estate would be divided among her daughters.
