Leonard Cohen grandchildren: Meet Viva Katherine Wainwright Cohen, Lyon Cohen
Viva Katherine and Lyon, his grandchildren are both children of his only daughter Lorca Cohen. They are still minors so their digital footprint is very scanty.
Cohen was born on September 21, 1934, in Westmount, Quebec, to an Orthodox Jewish family. His Lithuanian mother, the daughter of Talmudic writer and rabbi Solomon Klonitsky-Kline, immigrated to Canada in 1927.
As a teenager, he trained himself to play the acoustic guitar and established the Buckskin Boys, a country-folk band.
He converted to classical guitar after learning a few chords and some flamenco from a young Spanish guitarist. He credits his love of music to his mother’s singing, who used to sing songs at home.
