Umm Kulthum, an Egyptian singer, songwriter, and actress, was active from the 1920s until the 1970s. She was born on December 31, 1898. In the Nile Delta village of Tamay e-Zahayra, which is a part of the city of Senbellawein, Dakahlia Governorate, Umm Kulthum was born into a pious family.
