A guitarist, singer, songwriter, and record producer from the United States, Brian Douglas Wilson co-founded the Beach Boys on June 20, 1942.
He is widely regarded as one of the most inventive and significant songwriters of the 20th century and is frequently referred to as a genius for his creative approaches to pop creation, tremendous musical talent, and mastery of recording techniques.
His most well-known works stand out for their high production qualities, intricate harmonies and orchestrations, layered vocals, and insightful or clever topics. Wilson is also well-known for his longtime battles with mental illness and for his once-high-pitched vocals.
Brian Wilson siblings: Meet Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson
Dennis and Carl, Brian’s two younger siblings, were born in 1944 and 1946, respectively. The family relocated from Inglewood to 3701 West 119th Street in nearby Hawthorne, California, not long after Dennis was born.
Similar to his brothers, Brian experienced largely psychological and sporadically physical abuse from his father. Wilson regarded his father as “violent” and “brutal,” but he also said that many of the later-circulated stories about his father’s behavior were “filthy falsehoods” and that “even the things that are real” had been published incorrectly.
