The artist, who has had a ten-year residency in Vegas, transported his mother there to live with him during her final days.
As part of his care for her, he daily drained her lungs.
Matt talked about how his mother passed away and how it happened so suddenly and with a lot of violence. He said to Kate:
“We got her an IV and that ruptured her stomach and it was a very, very violent experience that I saw.
“I knew that I wouldn’t have a mother within 12 hours and sure enough it was 12 hours later she passed.”
