Maxi Jazz, the lead vocalist of the electronic dance band Faithless, passed away at the age of 65.
Sister Bliss and Rollo, members of the Faithless band, posted a homage to the artist on social media, saying: “We are heartbroken to inform Maxi Jazz died peacefully at his home in South London last night.”
Maxwell Fraser, better known as Jazz, was born in Brixton in 1957 and had a very successful career as the lead singer of Faithless and other bands as well as a solo artist.
Four weeks ago, Fraser posted a video of himself playing the guitar on social media, saying he was practicing new songs.
He initially disclosed in March that he was dealing with “health concerns that had been impeding my capacity to perform.”

The biggest hit for Faithless was Insomnia, which peaked at number three on the UK chart when it was re-released a year later and topped the UK dance charts in 1995.
