From 2012 until 2016, Hillman, a former running back, played with Wolfe in Denver. They were coworkers on the 2015 Broncos squad that defeated the Carolina Panthers to win the Super Bowl 50.
Hillman has, regrettably, been sick for a while now, and things have gotten worse. Wolfe joined Denver’s 104.3 The Fan and declared that Hillman’s predicament is urgent.
Hillman competed in the NFL for five years, four of them with the Broncos, who in 2016 helped him win a Super Bowl.
Additionally, he had brief spells with the Chargers and Vikings.
BREAKING! Why was Ronnie Hillman in hospice?
Ronnie Hillman, a former running back for the Denver Broncos, was diagnosed with a “rare” form of cancer in August and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospice.
Hillman’s family verified that he was receiving hospice care after learning that he had renal medullary cancer, a condition that “typically strikes young African Americans with sickle cell trait.”
Additionally, Orlando Franklin, a former teammate of Hillman’s in Denver, tweeted the news and requested good wishes.
