Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer, often known as the Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster (May 21, 1960 – November 28, 1994), was an American serial killer and sex offender who murdered and separated the remains of seventeen men and boys between 1978 and 1991.
Cannibalism, necrophilia, and the permanent retention of body parts, generally the full or a portion of the bones, were common features of his later homicides.
Despite being diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, schizotypal personality disorder, and a psychotic condition, Dahmer was found to be legally sane during his trial.
On February 17, 1992, he was sentenced to fifteen sentences of life imprisonment after being found guilty of fifteen of the sixteen homicides he committed in Wisconsin.
Dahmer was beaten to death on November 28, 1994, by Christopher Scarver, a fellow inmate at the Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin.
How old was Jeffrey Dahmer when he died?
Jeffrey Dahmer was 34 years old when he died. Dahmer left his cell on November 28, 1994, to execute his assigned work task. Two other inmates, Jesse Anderson and Christopher Scarver accompanied him. The three were left alone in the prison gym showers for around 20 minutes.
His head had been repeatedly banged against the wall during the assault. Dahmer was still alive when he was taken to a nearby hospital, but he died an hour later. Anderson had been assaulted with the same tool and died two days later from his injuries.
