Calvin Williams who was born on March 3, 1967, is a retired athlete who competed in American football.
He played the sport for a total of seven seasons. Williams was a first-year player in 1990 and was able to beat Mike Quick for the starting wide receiver position during training camp.
Williams led the team in touchdown receptions in both 1990 and 1992, and in 1993, he set a career-best with 10 touchdown grabs, which also gave him the lead in touchdown receptions for the team.
In 1993, he had 60 receptions for 725 yards receiving. On September 19, Williams participated in a game against the Washington Redskins. He caught eight receptions for a total of 181 yards and three touchdowns, one of which was the game-winning score. Because of his efforts, he was awarded the title of NFC Offensive Player of the Week. In 1995, he set a new career best with 63 catches, which helped him lead the club in that category.
Following his retirement from football, Williams worked at the Bluford Drew Jemison S.T.E.M. Academy as the athletic director and as a teacher of physical education. In 2011, he was promoted to the position of assistant athletics director at Purdue University.
