Kara Wang is a Los Angeles-based actress who is Chinese American. She is fluent in both Mandarin and the dialect of Hangzhou. Additionally, she is able to read and write traditional and simplified Chinese.
Kara began performing when she was 6 years old and participated actively in show choir and theater throughout elementary, middle, and high school. Her first agent was signed when she was 15 years old.

Wang went to Saratoga High School in California. At the University of California, Irvine, Kara received a BA in theater. She obtained a global contract with an Asian entertainment agency after graduating.
Kara lived in Beijing and Hong Kong between 2010 and 2015. She appeared in nearly 20 Chinese film and television productions during that time, including the well-known Chinese director Chen Kaige’s, Caught in the Web.
Kara moved and returned to Los Angeles in 2015. She has guest appearances on Goliath on Amazon and Good Trouble on Freeform. Her next appearance on the big screen will be in the eagerly awaited sequel Top Gun: Maverick.
