Jouko Ahola (born December 1, 1970) is a former strongman, powerlifter, and actor from Finland. He has won World’s Strongest Man twice, Europe’s Strongest Man twice, and is widely recognized as one of the finest pound-for-pound strongmen in history.

Jouko is most known for winning the World’s Strongest Man title in both 1997 and 1999, as well as placing second in 1998.
Ahola also won Europe’s Strongest Man twice, in 1998 and 1999, and came in fourth place in 1996. Jouko won the World’s Strongest Team title in 1997 and 1999 and was runner-up in 1998.

Ahola established world records in the Atlas Stones and the Hercules hold (45.7 sec, 197 kg (215 kg).

Ahola has shifted his focus from strongman to filmmaking. So far, he has appeared in the Kingdom of Heaven, Bad Day to Go Fishing, War of the Dead, and Invincible.

Ahola played early twentieth-century Jewish strongman Zishe Breitbart in Werner Herzog’s 2001 film Invincible. In Alvaro Brechner’s 2009 film Bad Day to Go Fishing, Jouko portrays a former world wrestling champion. The film had its world debut at the Cannes Film Festival.
