Born on December 15, 1967, Ami Kawai is a Japanese actress who works in both theater and television. In her own country, she is most recognized for her roles as Marsha in Kidou Keiji Jiban and Lami in Kyrie Sentai Zyuranger.
Kawai was born in Tokyo to the restaurant manager and actress Rie Kawai. Her older sister, Katsumi Fujita, is a designer for environmental planning who most recently contributed to the Park Hyatt sign in Seoul, Korea. Her mother has been operating a small pub in Takadanobaba, a neighborhood close to Waseda University in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
