
National Basketball Association (NBA) player Justin Aaron Jackson, who represents the Boston Celtics, was born in the United States on March 28, 1995.
Prior to playing college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels, he participated in the Homeschool Christian Youth Association (HCYAbasketball )’s league.
The 2014 McDonald’s All-American Boys Game saw the small forward compete, and he and Jahlil Okafor were named co-MVPs.
Jackson played basketball for the Homeschool Christian Youth Association (HCYA), a non-profit Christian organization established to assist families and students who attend home schools in Houston and the surrounding area.
He was the best homeschool basketball player of the year, winning the Sullivan Award, and he helped the Warriors win the 2012 national championship.
In his final season, he continued to excel, posting averages of 31.5 points and 9.1 rebounds.
As one of the most talented high school athletes in the country, Jackson quickly led to a highly publicized recruitment.
Baylor, Georgetown, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Washington all made offers to the player.
Jackson received a recruit rating of five stars from Rivals.com, ESPN, and 247Sports.com.
The small forward eventually signed with North Carolina. In the Class of 2016, he was regarded as one of the best players.
Jackson was selected for the 2014 McDonald’s All-American Boys Game on January 29, 2014, following his time with HCYA.
The North Carolina recruit was named the game’s co-MVP with Jahlil Okafor after scoring the game’s opening few points.
Jackson finished the game as the game’s leading scorer with 23 points on 11 of 12 shooting.
He also received the Jack Daly Sportsmanship Award.
