Yes, Baker started all 14 games as a true freshman at Washington in 2014, compiling 80 tackles, one interception, and one sack. Baker was recognized by USA Today as a Freshman All-American following his first season.

He started 12 of the 13 games he played in as a sophomore in 2015, and as a result of his 49 tackles and two interceptions, he was selected All-Pac-12. Prior to the 2016 season, Baker received the preseason All-American honor.

Following the 2016 campaign, Baker was chosen a first-team all-American by The Sporting News and the Football Writers Association of America and a second-team all-American by the American Football Coaches Association and The Associated Press, earning him consensus all-American accolades.
