Keaontay Ingram, a running back with the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals, was born on October 26, 1999. He participated in collegiate football at USC and Texas.

The 201st pick overall in the 2022 NFL Draft went to the Arizona Cardinals, who chose Ingram in the sixth round. On May 19, he agreed to a four-year rookie contract with the Cardinals. In the opening preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals, he made his Arizona debut.

Keaontay Ingram went to Carthage High School. Ingram was born and raised in Carthage, Texas, and went to Carthage High School there. There, he participated in football, track, and basketball.

In addition to winning a 4A Division I state championship that year, he was also voted the game’s offensive MVP. He contributed to Carthage’s 16-0 overall record, 6-0 district record, district championship, and 49-21 victory over Kennedale in the 4A Division I state championship game in 2017.

The Mr. Texas Football High School Player of the Year Award included him as one of three candidates. He took part in the Under Armour All-America Game in 2018. He received honors for being All-America, All-State, and two times All-District.

He has 76 career rushing touchdowns, which is the school record for Carthage. One of three athletes with more than 5,000 career yards, he also has two consecutive seasons of at least 2,000 yards.

Ingram, a four-star recruit, chose Texas over 26 other universities that had offered him scholarships to play collegiate football.
