Jihad Ward, an American football defensive end for the New York Giants of the National Football League, was born on May 11, 1994. At Illinois, he played collegiate football.
In exchange for wide receiver Ryan Switzer, the Raiders traded Ward to the Dallas Cowboys on April 28, 2018. Ward received coaching from Cowboys defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli at the 2016 Senior Bowl. During the final roster cuts on September 1st, 2018, the Cowboys waived Ward.
Ward was added to the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad on September 3, 2018. On September 13, 2018, his promotion to the active roster was made. With an ankle injury, he was put on injured reserve on October 26, 2018. The Colts released Ward on October 1st, 2019.
