The game of soccer is built around the pursuit of scoring goals. Eleven players, including the goalkeeper, are allowed on the field at one time for each team.

These players must keep the ball in play on a rectangular field that measures between 100 and 130 yards in length and 50 and 100 yards in width.

Teams move the ball up and down the field in an attempt to kick it within the goal, a framework that measures 8 feet in height and 24 feet in width at the professional level.

The player guarding the goal, the goalkeeper, is the only player on a team typically allowed to use every part of his body during the game.

During a football match in Ecuador between two teams that are playing against each other, there was the need to use the Video Assitance Referee (VAR) to confirm whether a ball kicked into the net of an opponent has the credibility to be accepted as a goal.

After thorough analysis, the referee declared a goal and whistled for the ball to be kicked from the center.

The referee’s decision did not sink well with the opposing coach and that made him pick a fight with the referee who showed a red card to one of the coach’s players.

During the fight, the angry coach tried throwing blows at the referee, and this threw the referee to the ground twice.
