A father and daughter murdered in Kent crash, another prosecuted

Following an incident in Kent that resulted in the deaths of two people and the serious injury of a child, a man has been accused.

On Wednesday, Yoram Hirshfeld, 78, and his 40-year-old daughter Noga Hirshfeld, a physicist at Cambridge, died.

Outside a multi-story parking lot in Ramsgate, a black Alfa Romeo collided with five pedestrians, all members of the same family.

A young girl with significant injuries is being treated in a hospital in London and is currently in a serious but stable condition. Minor injuries were sustained by a little boy and a man in his forties in the collision.

The charges against Nitesh Bissendary, a resident of Highlands Glade in Kent, include two counts of causing death by hazardous driving, two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and an attack resulting in actual bodily harm.

The 30-year-old is also accused of driving while impaired by drugs, failing to halt at the site of a collision, and not providing a sample for testing.

On Saturday, he will make an appearance in Folkestone Magistrates’ Court.

After the collision at 9:35 p.m. on Wednesday, patrons of a nearby restaurant assisted in raising the alarm and providing medical attention to the injured.
