Marianne Wiggins is a celebrated American author. She has gained major recognition by top writing organizations and fraternities including The Cambridge Guide to Women’s Writing in English.
According to the group, Marianne writes with “a bold intelligence and an ear for hidden comedy.” She has taken a couple of awards including the acclaimed Whiting Award, an National Endowment for the Arts award and the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize.
Miss Wiggins suffered a severe stroke from a series of complex health complications. She recounts how tough her days were during the earlier stages of the illness in an interview but she managed to step out of the pain and has announced the release of a new manuscript, a novel which could capture a number of issues surrounding her life and illness and the adventures in her creative mind.
The seventy-four year old featured in the film Kafkas, a drama tragi-comedy. A few of her books are Evidence of Things Unseen, John Dollar and The Shadow Catcher.
