According to her sister Tracey Dowse, Denise Dowse, who has a long list of television credits that include Grey’s Anatomy, Beverly Hills, 90210, and Insecure, is still in the hospital after catching meningitis.
“I am requesting support and prayers be offered me and my sister, and my only immediate family Denise Dowse,” Tracey wrote in a Facebook post dated August 5.
“She is currently in the hospital in a coma brought on by a virulent form of meningitis. Her doctors do not know when she will come out of the coma as it was not medically induced.”
Also stated by Tracey was that her sister “is a dynamic actor and director who should have many years ahead of her” and that “thoughts, prayers and support are highly welcomed.”
In her extensive list of television appearances, Dowse had a recurring part as Vice Principal Yvonne Teasley on Beverly Hills, 90210.
Later, in another recurring role for the sitcom California Dreams, she would portray a different vice principal.
