The series’ potential early 2024 release date was disclosed in a blog post by author and executive producer Rick Riordan.
Percy Jackson & The Olympians, which is based on Riordan’s books, follow the 12-year-old modern demigod Percy Jackson (Walter Scobell), who is just coming to grips with his newly discovered superhuman abilities when Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt.
Percy must embark on a once-in-a-lifetime quest with the aid of his companions Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) in order to find it and put Olympus back in order.
Previously, Riordan predicted that it will debut in 2023, but he added: “I also told you that this might possibly change.”
“Now that I am considerably more aware of the labor required, here is what I am projecting: We will probably need to film all eight episodes of season one, which will take around one month to complete, through December or into January. This implies that post-production, which involves fitting the parts together, editing, and enhancing them with all the sound and special effects, will start in the early part of 2023. Additionally, this procedure takes months.
Given all of this, he says, “I believe the most likely air date will probably be early 2024.
Now that we know when Percy Jackson & The Olympians will premiere on Disney+, we can plan ahead.
