In connection with a late-night collision in his Welsh seat last year, Tory MP Jamie Wallis was given a driving suspension and fined £2,500.
On November 28, the Bridgend representative, 38, was operating his Mercedes E-class saloon when it collided with a lamppost and a telegraph pole in Llanbethian.
When onlookers advised him to call the police, he walked away from the scene. After calling his father, he was picked up by a Land Rover.
The following morning, Mr. Wallis was discovered naked in bed with his crash scene attire strewn on the floor next to him.
His arguments that his acts were motivated by PTSD symptoms related to his experience of being raped two months prior were rejected by the judge.
The MP added that he left the scene because he was dressed as a woman and felt exposed in it because he had last worn such gear out in public the night he was attacked.
He was alleged to have made a “conscious” decision not to phone 999 despite having the disease, which had been diagnosed five days before to the incident.
Although he was found not guilty of driving carelessly, Mr. Wallis was found guilty of failing to stop, failing to report a traffic collision, and leaving a vehicle in an unsafe position.
