Ghanaians are urged to preserve, defend, and cherish their country’s democracy by Zanetor Rawlings, the MP for the Korle Klottey.
Speaking during the 67th Independence Day celebration held at Accra High School, the MP emphasized the need to uphold Ghana’s democratic values while calling attention to the continuous political instability that exists throughout Africa.
Imagine the Ghana you desire, and together, let’s work to make it a reality on a personal and a group level. Look closely and make sure that each of us is doing our part to uphold the principles of good governance both personally and collectively to safeguard and maintain the democracy that we are establishing in this nation,” the speaker said.
She urged all parties involved to uphold the integrity of free, fair, and transparent elections in the upcoming elections scheduled for December.
The MP also urged the nation’s youth to persevere with unflinching hope for a more prosperous future while maintaining their resilience in the face of the present economic hardships.
