There has been a deadly accident involving an Ampea Memorial Institute school bus on a Nkawkaw highway in the Eastern area.
Reports state that while navigating a curve into the main road, the bus carrying students to their different destinations collided with another car.
In the Asante region, a Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) owned private V8 registered GT 8455-19 was struck by a bus bearing registration number GE 2291-10.
Four people were killed after both automobiles crashed into a ditch next to the road due to the severity of the collision.
The victims in both cars had varying degrees of injuries, and three students and a female teacher perished instantly.
The bodies of the deceased were placed in the hospital morgue, and the injured victims were taken to Holy Family Hospital in Nkawkaw.
The frequent accidents on the stretch of road led some irate neighbors to refer to it as a death trap in interviews with Peter Dwamena of Adom News.
