Ernest Owusu-Bempah, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Deputy Communications Officer, barged into Onua TV’s studio on the morning show’s March 27, 2024, edition to interact with Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC Communications Officer.

When Owusu-Bempah arrived, the discussion focused on the recent issue involving Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei-Mensah’s failure to cite five completed government projects in the area.

Sammy Gyamfi remarked that a minister would neglect to identify any big NPP development initiatives in the ruling party’s base.

His presentation was unexpectedly stopped when Owusu-Bempah appeared on set, laden with books and documents, allegedly to contribute to the conversation.

When questioned by the presenter, Captain Smart, about his appearance on the show, Owusu-Bempah rationalized his participation by explaining that as a fellow Ashanti, it was a “Ashanti affair” in which he felt forced to join Gyamfi.

Read an extract from their chats.

Sammy Gyamfi: Where is this man?

Owusu-Bempah: We’re also here to contribute; this is his Green Book, which we used to debate in Kumasi.

Sammy: Owusu Bempah should thank John Mahama for providing him with job through Ghana Gas.

Owusu-Bempah: Stop, Ghana Gas does not belong to him; Kufuor founded it.
