3 robbers jailed 60 years

On November 26, 2022, in Tewobabi, Adansi Asokwa region, Ashanti, three armed robbers ambushed a vehicle owned by Accurate Giant Company and took 40,500 GHC. They were sentenced to a total of 60 years in prison.

Stephen Sarpong, 23, Emmanuel Blay, 28, and Ibrahim Adams, 26, are the suspects.

Two more people who are on remand, Rocky Nyamedi, 29, and Martin Asante, 26, will appear in court on March 4, 2024, to receive their sentences.

Rocky Nyamedi, an employee of the company, was identified by the prosecution as the robbery’s mastermind by the first three people who were taken into custody.

According to the report, while Martin Asante was detained in Bibiani, the police tracked down and apprehended Rocky Nyamedi in Esereso.
