Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy, who recently won the Artiste of the Year (AOTY) award at the 25th TGMA, has shared his thoughts on the debate between himself and King Promise that emerged prior to the event.
In an interview with TV3, his first since winning the award, Stonebwoy mentioned that he was unaware of the social media debate until about a week before the event.
The nine-time Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year expressed a desire for the attention given to him and King Promise to have been distributed more evenly among all nominees in the category. He noted that focusing solely on two artists out of six created an impression that the other nominees had not made significant efforts during the year under review.
Stonebwoy also expressed his belief that recognizing all nominees equally would have been more beneficial for the industry as a whole, showcasing the hard work and talent of all artists in the category.
