Legon Cities secure crucial 1-0 victory over Bofoakwa Tano in Ghana Premier League match
Legon Cities emerged victorious in a tightly contested Week 32 Ghana Premier League match against Bofoakwa Tano, with a 1-0 win on Saturday afternoon at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
The win marked a much-needed return to winning ways for Legon Cities, who were sitting in 12th position with 41 points before the match, while Bofoakwa Tano found themselves in 17th place with 33 points.
It was a tough battle in the midfield as both teams fought for control, but it was midfielder Mohammed Alidu who broke the deadlock in the 31st minute, giving Legon Cities the lead. Despite numerous attempts from Bofoakwa Tano, Legon Cities held on to their advantage until the final whistle.
In the 72nd minute, substitutions were made with Joseph Mereku and William Adjei coming on for Stephen Bruce-Tagoe and Fredrick Akatuk, respectively. The match concluded after four minutes of additional time.
