Veteran Ghanaian coach, Bashir Hayford, has added another accolade to his collection after being named the NASCO Coach of the Month for May/June 2024.
Hayford, who leads Heart of Lions in the Ghana Premier League, showcased outstanding leadership throughout the period, guiding his team to five wins and one draw in their last six matches.
Under Hayford’s guidance, Heart of Lions accumulated an impressive 16 points out of a possible 18, conceding only three goals while scoring ten. This remarkable performance set them apart from their competitors and solidified their position in the league.
Despite facing tough competition from other talented coaches such as Samuel Boadu of Berekum Chelsea and Tanko Ibrahim of Accra Lions FC, Hayford’s strategic prowess and impact on Heart of Lions’ performance could not be denied. His dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed, with the coach set to receive a brand new 42-inch NASCO Television set from Electroland Ghana Limited in recognition of his achievement.
In addition to Hayford’s success, Hearts of Lions’ defender Ebenezer Annan has been named Player of the Month for May/June. This double recognition for the team highlights their exceptional performance and the valuable contributions of both the coach and the players.
As the season progresses, all eyes will be on Heart of Lions as they continue to showcase their talent and determination in the Ghana Premier League. With Hayford at the helm and players like Annan shining on the field, the team is poised for even greater success in the future.
