robertoThe Red Devils of Belgium are going into the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup as the second-best-ranked side in the world, only behind the five-time world champions Brazil. The side boasts a talented squad with names like Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, and Eden Hazard.

However, for Belgium’s golden generation, the 2022 Qatar World Cup appears to be their last opportunity to claim some major silverware, having missed out on the ultimate prize last time round with a semi-final exit against eventual winner France.

2022 FIFA World Cup: Who is the coach for Belgium?

The Belgians are led into this tournament by their Spanish coach Roberto Martinez, who has been at the helm since 2016 after succeeding Marc Wilmots.

He began his professional coaching career at Swansea City and soon became a household name after leading Wigan Athletic to an FA Cup triumph in 2013. After the club got relegated, he moved to Everton, where he once again proved himself as one of the best coaches in the Premier League.

During his tenure, Belgium has risen to the top of the FIFA rankings and remained there for a three-year period ending in 2021. However, with his contract under review after the 2022 World Cup, he will be looking to secure the first trophy of his tenure in Qatar.
