Several celebrities from both countries have waded in on the debate but yet to conclude on whose jollof rice tastes the best.

The latest celebrity to jump on the debate is Peter Okoye of the defunct Nigerian Afro-pop group, P-Square.

Peter Okoye, whose new stage name is Mr P (after going solo), is currently in Ghana for Sarkodie and Tracy’s wedding.

He was spotted at their white wedding Saturday, July 21 to support the BET Award-winning rapper.

But, it seems he had a taste of Ghana jollof prior to or after the wedding (we can’t actually tell when it happened).

He shared a video on his Snap tasting Ghanaian jollof rice and passed his verdict after.

“So, I am here in Ghana. I know this jollof has been causing problems. Let me taste it now and compare with Nigerian jollof [rice],” he said before tasting.

Then, he passed his verdict, saying “Nigerian jollof is still the best. Because that smoke smell in our party [jollof] rice [is unique].”
