David Benioff and D. B. Weiss created the HBO fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones. It is based on George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels, the first of which is A Game of Thrones.

The show was shot in several countries, including the United Kingdom, Canada, Croatia, Iceland, Malta, Morocco, and Spain. It debuted on HBO in the United States on April 17, 2011, and ended on May 19, 2019, with 73 episodes spread across eight seasons.

Why would Arya Stark mention a list of names before she could sleep in ‘Game of Thrones’?

Every night before she goes to bed, she speaks their names one by one. Arya Stark’s main motivator is vengeance, and those names, along with a few more, compose her famed kill list, which keeps her going in the face of adversity.

Each of them wronged her, hurt her family, or hurt her friends at some point, and while many of the names she’s added to her list over the years have been crossed off by her own or others’ actions, Arya still has a lot of work to do in Game of Thrones’ final season.

Princess Arya Stark is Lord Eddard Stark’s third child and the second daughter of his marriage, Lady Catelyn Stark. She is the younger sister of Westeros’ current monarchs, Sansa, Queen of the North, and Brandon, King of the Andals and the First Men.

After narrowly escaping House Lannister’s persecution of House Stark, Arya is trained as a Faceless Man at the House of Black and White in Braavos, where she will use her abilities to revenge her family. When she returns to Westeros, she exacts vengeance for the Red Wedding by annihilating the Frey male line.
