Who is Jon Snow’s sister Valerie Targaryen?

Lady Valerie Targaryen, also known as “The Targaryen Wolf” and “Valerie Cassel”, is the last surviving daughter of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen by his second wife Lyanna Stark. Following the assassination of her aunt Queen Daenerys Targaryen and the subsequent exile of her older twin brother Jon Snow, she is now the head of the House Targaryen and Lady of Dragonstone.

Valerie, like her twin brother Aegon, is a member of both House Targaryen and House Stark. Valerie, on the other hand, was born with conventional Valyrian looks, whilst Jon was born with classic Stark characteristics. Valerie is introduced as Rodrik Cassel’s adopted daughter from birth. He would adopt and nurture her under the alias Valerie Cassel in order to conceal her true parentage and twinship to Jon Snow from everyone, including Jon and Valerie.

By separating them at birth, Lord Eddard Stark intended to conceal their Twinship from them, as well as everyone else in Westeros, in order to protect them from those who sought the elimination of House Targaryen following Robert’s Rebellion and to protect them from those who sought the annihilation of House Targaryen after Robert’s Rebellion and to maintain order in the realm.
