Katrina Despain was raised all across the United States and Panama after being born in Fort Stewart, Georgia. Notably, she spent six years in Missoula, Montana, where she started her study in theater and dance.
After receiving her BFA in theatre and dance from the University of Wyoming, where she was recognized as the Outstanding Graduate in the College of Arts and Sciences, Katrina completed her high school education at Loveland High in Loveland, Colorado.
She later earned her MFA in acting from Louisiana State University, and as a student there, she appeared in the films Prisoners (2013) and Pitch Perfect (2012).
