The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated on February 25, 2022, shared a statement urging the US senate to confirm the nomination of Brown Jackson.

The statement said: “As one of the nation’s pre-eminent service-based sororities. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated proudly supports president Joe Biden’s nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson to serve as the first black woman associate justice on the United States Supreme Court.”

It lauds her “extraordinary qualifications, character, experience, integrity and commitment”. The statement also stresses the quality of Brown Jackson’s qualifications.

“As a two-time Harvard University graduate, Judge Jackson is a seasoned and skilled jurist with a wide range of judicial experience,” the statement added.
