Where did Andy Ogletree go to high school and college?

Ogletree graduated from Union High School. Ogletree enrolled at Georgia Tech in 2016. He won the Monroe Invitational by two strokes in 2019, his senior year, with a total of 279.

In August, he won the US Amateur Championship at Pinehurst, defeating Vanderbilt’s John Augenstein 2 and 1.

Ogletree became Georgia Tech’s third champion, after Bobby Jones (five times) and Matt Kuchar. He gained exemptions to the 2020 Masters Tournament, U.S. Open, and Open Championship by winning the Havemeyer Trophy.

At the 2020 Masters, Ogletree was the lowest amateur.

Andy Ogletree of Georgia Tech was among 17 players suspended by the PGA Tour on Thursday for their involvement in the Saudi-backed LIV Golf competition.

Swafford and Ogletree are competing in the LIV tournament this week in London.

The ban from PGA tournament play, including the Presidents Cup, was announced in a message to PGA Tour members by PGA Commissioner Jay Monahan.

The ban extends to the Korn Ferry Tour, the Champions Tour, the PGA Tour Canada, and the PGA Tour Latinoamerica.
