Seems the banter and animosity between Ghana and Nigeria doesn’t look like ending anytime soon, especially since the Super Eagles of Nigeria qualified for the World Cup and the Black Stars of Ghana did not.
Nigeria and Ghana, whether it be on jollof, electricity, currency etc have always never met eye-to-eye and yesterday was no different when it came to the football.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria, the sole re-presenters of west Africa in this year’s FIFA World Cup put in a dire performance and succumbed to a two goals to nothing scoreline by their counterparts from Croatia.
Ghanaians were quick to call out Nigerians who had earlier been bragging about going on to win the entire tournament and also making fun of Ghana not qualifying for the showpiece in Russia.
We’ve listed some of the reactions on social media below, and we must say some were brutal.
Go and play football and win , you are wearing half shoe! Your fadas! pic.twitter.com/jsLgNLIDrS

Nigeria should have rather taken the Fulani headsmen to Russia since they’re good at attacking πΈπΈπΉ
This is why Croatia fingered your eagles. https://t.co/EPWDCTI8bM

With Nigeria having 2 more games to play and a cracker against Messi & Co from Argentina. Nigeria are in for a tough ride.
