Austin St John of the Power Rangers faces a 20-year prison term after being charged with participating in a multi-million dollar stimulus fraud scam.

The actor, actual name Jason Lawrence Geiger, is one of 18 persons cited in a federal indictment in Texas for conspiracy to conduct wire fraud.

Was Austin St. John in the military?

He served as a healthcare practitioner for the US military in the Middle East for numerous years, while not being a member of any part of the armed services.

According to the indictment, St John allegedly collaborated in a plot to create or exploit existing firms to submit false applications to the Small Business Administration for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) financing.

The defendants allegedly obtained at least 16 loans totaling $3.5 million.

Fans worry that preparations for a reunion of the original Power Rangers to commemorate the 30th anniversary would have to be scrapped since the 47-year-old may be sentenced to 20 years in federal prison if convicted.
