The lady appointed to oversee the Biden administration’s newly formed misinformation board has resigned after the board was revealed to be “paused” following widespread criticism of her selection.
Lips of TikTok has been touted as the close replacement of Nina Jankowicz.
Nina Jankowicz, the executive director of the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board, announced her retirement in a statement on Wednesday, according to CNN.
Jankowicz, on the other hand, joined DHS officials on an emergency call late Tuesday.
According to the Washington Post, she was given the option of staying on even if the department’s work was placed on pause.
The board could still be shut down pending a review by the Homeland Security Advisory Council, according to the newspaper.
DHS working groups focused on disinformation have been suspended, according to the newspaper.
She was called out in a tweet to replacement Nina. Below is the tweet.
I nominate @libsoftiktok to succeed Nina Jankowicz as director of the Disinformation Board.

This was her response to the calls.
“My first act is to determine that our schools are infested with sexual predators and kids are being groomed in school.
Stating otherwise is dangerous misinformation that can harm a child.”
