Reilly Opelka did not play basketball, however, he wishes he did. Opelka said in an interview, “One hundred percent. Those guys have a life. The league minimum is five million [dollars] a year. And you get to stay in the States, fly private, big planes. It’s the life.”
It’s understandable why Opelka would feel this way. After all, the tennis player is perfect for basketball because of his 6′ 11′ frame. At that height, any basketball club would sure welcome him with open arms.
His height has not prevented him from making his mark in the tennis world. This instead has contributed to him having his serve as his biggest weapon.
