Fraser acknowledged she couldn’t walk last month, according to reports, after a video of her performing in a wheelchair went viral on social media.
In an interview with the Daily Sun, the 56-year-old gospel singer confessed that she was confined to a wheelchair and unable to walk.
She was diagnosed with diabetes a few years ago and has had a few health scares since then.
She previously told Drum that she had sold some of her city residences and purchased a farm in Johannesburg’s south to live a healthier lifestyle.
Social media was inundated with tributes to Fraser following her passing.
The Christian Leadership Academy recently awarded Deborah a Doctor of Philosophy in Sacred Music. In a prior interview with Drum, she stated that she was not expecting the honor.
