After completing secondary school in Nigeria, Burna Boy relocated to London to further his studies.
He went to the University of Sussex for a year, where he studied Media Technology (2008 – 2009). Then he went to Oxford Brookes University, from 2009 to 2010 to study Media Communications and Culture.
From Oxford, he returned to Nigeria and took up a year-long internship at a radio station.
Eventually, he launched his music career in Lagos, Nigeria.
