Dr. Donald Cline, who is featured in the new Netflix documentary Our Father, which premiered today, was formerly regarded as one of Indianapolis’ greatest reproductive doctors.
What happened to Dr. Donald Cline?
Cline has assisted hundreds of parents who have had difficulty conceiving for over three decades.
Most people were overjoyed to have a child and didn’t think to question it.
Then DNA testing became popular, and sites like 23andMe and Ancestry.com showed the unthinkable: Cline had been inseminating his patients with his own sperm without his patients’ knowledge or consent.
Every month, new half-siblings appear on DNA testing sites, indicating that he has fathered over 90 children.
Jacoba Ballard, one of Cline’s children, was the first to discover the story, and now she and her many half-siblings want to share it with as many people as possible, especially because it may be the only way they can receive justice.
He refused to participate in the film, despite the fact that he is played by Keith Boyle.
Where is Dr. Donald Cline today?
According to a 2019 piece from The Atlantic, Dr. Donald Cline is still free and residing in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Some of the children he fathered without their mother’s consent live within a few blocks of him.
