According to Kylie Minogue, she met Nick Cave through her then-boyfriend Michael Hutchence.
During an interview with the Guardian, Kylie said “Michael said to me: ‘My friend Nick wants to do a song with you,’”.
“I didn’t know who Nick Cave was. And I just said: ‘Oh, that’s nice,’” she added.
“Where the Wild Roses Grow” became one of the greatest songs of their time and was included in the list of the 100 Best Songs of the 1990s.
The collaboration between the two musicians yielded a huge commercial success and made them popular as well as built their friendship.
