According to a news release from the Alabama House of Representatives, Representative Steve McMillan (R-Foley) has died.
After being diagnosed with three brain tumors, McMillan announced in January 2022 that he would not seek reelection.
In 1980, McMillan was a Democrat who represented District 95.
He switched to the Republican Party in 1993.
McMillan was the owner-operator of McMillan and Associates and served his district for more than 40 years.
Baldwin County is home to McMillan’s real estate firm.

McMillan announced in January 2022 that he had been diagnosed with cancer. Three small tumors in his brain were discovered, and he stated that he would begin treatment that month. His cause of death has not yet been revealed.
