Susan Jacks was the lead vocalist of the Canadian musical group the Poppy Family
She died on April 2, in a British Columbia hospital while awaiting a kidney transplant.
She was afflicted with renal illness.
Jacks had gotten a kidney transplant from her elder brother, Rick Pesklevits, in 2010, but complications from infections caused her death.
“She was overtaken by illness, and her heart stopped,” Pesklevits told CBC, recalling his sister as “always singing.”
She died at the age of 73.

Terry Jacks, Jacks’ bandmate and former husband, posted on Facebook,
“I am grieved by the demise of Susan Jacks. She has a lovely voice and performed my songs well. I’m sure she’ll live on beyond the sky.”
