Jamie Wallis revealed last month that he suffers from gender identity and has been the victim of rape and extortion.
He went to Aberkenfig’s St Robert’s Catholic School, Porthcawl’s St Clare’s School, and Bridgend’s Brynteg School.
He went on to study chemistry at Christ Church, Oxford, where he graduated in 2006 with an upper second class degree.
In 2014, he received a PhD in astrobiology from Cardiff University, where he worked on evidence for cometary panspermia under the supervision of Chandra Wickramasinghe.
Jamie Hamilton Wallis is a British Conservative Party politician who has served as the MP for Bridgend in Wales since the 2019 general election.
Wallis beat incumbent Labour MP Madeleine Moon, who had served as the constituency’s representative since 2005.
