Gottfried died of a rare hereditary muscle disorder that may trigger a fatally irregular pulse, according to his publicist and lifelong friend Glenn Schwartz.
Aside from being the most iconic voice in comedy, Gilbert was a loving husband, brother, friend, and father to his two young children.
